Comments

I am sad to say that over the past couple of weeks, we have received a number of negative comments on our blog. These comments have been untrue and hurtful. While we do not mind if somebody doesn’t agree with something we do, we are saddened by the words that have been written. We don’t know if it is just one person leaving the comments (as they have been left anonymously) or more than one and because of this, we’ve had to enable comment moderation.

We enjoy sharing how the Lord is working in our lives and the lives of the people here. Though we are far from perfect, we love the Lord Jesus Christ and hope to be able to be a blessing and encouragement to others as so many have been to us. Many have asked us questions in regards to our family, the ministry, life in Mexico ect... And we hope to be able to continue to answer those. We also so enjoy all the encouraging comments that so many of you leave; it is often lonely here as we are far away from our family and friends. But we are so thankful the Lord has called us to serve Him here and has blessed us with so many precious little ones. He is so faithful and good!

  2. I have read your blog for many months and am sorry you have received negative comments. I get wonderful tips reading your entries and am inspired by all you do. I forwarded your entry "Back to Answering Questions" to a friend of mine since I thought it had some fantastic information but the link is no longer available. I hope you continue to post to your blog as I, and probably many others, look forward to seeing new posts.

  8. Dear Lockwood Family, I am sorry about your need to enable comment moderation, but I completely understand and perhaps it might be even more security for your beautiful family!

You story is inspiring and we pray for you here at our home.

  9. Oh Jaynee, I am so sorry for the mean comments.I love your blog. I pray for your family often. I realize that they were put under anonymous, but ever computer has an IP #. You can track comments with that number. I have a blog at HSB and have had to ban certain IP's from my blog back when someone was leaving comments on blogs that were very ugly toward homeschoolers and christians. I would still moderate comments as well.
    Be blessed,

Now...there always seems that be someone who has to be mean and say awful things...please do not let yourselves be discouraged by these or this individual ...There are far more of us that love and appreciate your blog.
That being said...I will pray tonight for the soul or souls who need to find love in their hearts...and find something else to do with their time then be mean...

  20. I'm sorry to hear about the negative comments left. I think any of us that have had a blog have experienced that at one time. I really enjoy reading your updates and am encouraged by your wealth of information on how to make a large family not only work, but do a great job at working together.

  21. Dear Lockwoods,
We are sorry for the recent negative comments. Keep looking up as you so faithfully do every day. You are truly a blessing to us. Some days are a little more difficult than others to find the good and it seems that the bad comments, etc. are so prevalent. Just remember God is always right there with a reached out hand to lift you up in his work. Take care and God bless.

  27. I am so sorry to hear of someone leaving negative comments. Your family and your stories are such a blessing to me. Our church supports so many missionaries, but we never get to see/hear about the day to day life of a missionary, so I greatly appreciate you being willing to share your lives with us. :)

  28. Satan attacks when we are doing what is right in God's eyes. We must continue to choose joy in our affliction, resting in our Savior Jesus Christ. You are a wonderful encouragement to many who seek your joy and peace. Please continue to be transparent on your blog, it is such a blessing to see how each day you choose to honor Christ in all that you do.

  29. Just wanted to come out of hiding and say that I have been reading your blog for months now. I hope you realize what an inspiration you are and how what you and Daniel are doing IS affecting more people than you know. I hope that the insensitivity and ignorance of one or two people will not keep you from sharing your lives and your love of Christ with the rest of us!

  30. Dear Mrs. Lockwood and Dear Family,
I would just like to say what a tremendous blessing that you are to me. I am the blessed wife of a missionary serving in Panama, and the doubly blessed mother of three little children. I have learned sooooo much from your delightful blog and it is always one of the first that I read when I can find a moment. May God bless you for your spirit of servitude and the help that you are just through sharing your daily life.
    Thank you - Ruth

  31. John 15:17-21
17These things I command you, that ye love one another.

18If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

21But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

    Jaynee,
Those that come that do not know Jesus are only attacking because they see the light of Christ shining through your family. Keep on serving the Lord with the merry heart you seem to. Remember our rewards are not on this earth, they are only for Him alone, not for man. Continue your witness. We will be praying for you!

  32. I was so very sorry to hear that you have had negative comments to your blog. I am new to your blog and you have been such an encouragement to me in a time of feeling overwhelmed. I am expecting our fifth and wondered how on earth I was going to keep things together. Just reading your blog has changed my attitude. Thank you so much for sharing your days in this public way, it is making a difference. God bless you all.

  33. I, like others, look forward to the new post on your blog. I could mirror people's comments about how sad this is, and how people just need to lift you up, not tear you down!
Please don't stop because of a few negatives! There are so many more positives out here who love to see how the Lord is working in your families lives!

  35. Like everyone else's posts here, I too, am sorry you have to go through the "extra trouble" of comment moderation. People can be so cruel and it makes us continue to think more about Jesus and all the hurtful things people did to him and he STILL wasn't angry and STILL loved all of them!

May God continue to bless you and keep you in his care.

  36. Amen dear sister... you are doing a wonderful thing by sharing your life with others... I know there are so many that have been blessed by your writings and honesty. I know you know it already, but let me confirm that we have no control over what others think... that's not for us... that's for the holy spirit... plant the seeds Jaynee... keep your focus and plant the seeds.

    Love you

  37. I was reminded in church last night that an encouraging note always seems to come at the right time, and your prayer letters came to mind. They always came to me at a time when I most needed encouragement.. I pray for your family often, just thought I'd let you know, and hope this comment comes to you at just the right time.
