I miss my husband....

....and I miss snuggling with my Samuel.

Monday and Tuesday were hard days. First, the surprise that Daniel was going to leave. Then he left and I felt not at all ready for the week ahead without him. Tuesday I felt so discouraged and overwhelmed and sad...and so tired. My head hurt and it was hard for me to even pray. I called Daniel's cell and left him a message sharing a bit how I was feeling.
Then I felt badly not wanting him to worry so I called again to tell him I was sorry for my whining...that I was just tired...and I couldn't get through to him. Then I felt even worse.
Early this morning, the phone rang. It was Daniel and he told me he had prayed much for me. He talked to me and was so encouraging in helping me get my focus back where it needs to be.
Satan is sure quick to come right in when he sees opportunity to make us fear, doubt or dispair. I am so thankful the Lord gave me Daniel.
I had a much brighter day. And the Lord helped me to see so many of the little things that I so often miss. I'm so thankful for His love, forgiveness, and the grace, comfort and strength He so readily gives when I turn to Him.

  1. Praying for strength and comfort for you, Jaynee. You are such an amazing wife, mother, and daughter of our Heavenly Father. I hope I can be as wonderful a mother as you someday.

  2. I miss my husband when he travels, too. I miss the balancing and leadership he provides - especially now that three of my sons are teens! Thankfully he doesn't need to go away too often. I believe that is part of being one - it is hard to function with half of you gone. The wonderful thing is that God fills that gap!!! Praying for you while he's gone. Also continuing to pray for Samuel. You know - you probably are still adjusting to him being on the outside :0)!! Postpartum and all that fun stuff!! Praying, praying, praying wee little man gets to come home to you soon!!!

  5. Praying for you. I know God will grant you comfort until Daniel is back, and you can be with Samuel more. I am sorry you are so tired and weary right now. Things will get better.

My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. (Exodus 33:14)

  10. Oh Jaynee~ We're praying Daniel's gets back sooner than later and all goes well with his trip.

And that you have some big helpers stop by, that you get some sleep and you are renewed and refreshed~

  11. I usually follow your blog more frequently, but am a bit "behind" so I was looking at pics of baby Samuel. Did you notice that in that one picture (when he was first born,) he's pointing to his ear? Maybe he's gesturing and affirming, GOD HAS HEARD! Bless all of you!
