Welcome! Nuestra Casa Es Su Casa ...Our house is your house

A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. He alone is good and faithful!

Update

Thank you for all the prayers. Jaynee now knows what happened, but she is still very groggy. She is now on her 2nd unit of blood. They still haven't given her the meds for pain that she asks for. Apparantly blood transfusions, and pain meds don't mix. If you would, just pray that God would take the edge of her pain, He is more capable than any medicine is! We just prayed for that specifically, and she's been asleep ever since. That's good.
I told Timothy and our church here, so they were praying. Again thanking you for praying.

  5. Just catching up on the events of the day for the first time. Began praying as I read through the first post, Daniel, and will continue. Glad she is getting some sleep now. Will pray for pain relief throughout the night, and for the blood transfusions to help her regain her strength....and for peace for all of you in this storm! So thankful that you have caring and trustworthy people in the church who can help with the children, and relieve you of that concern!

  8. Long time follower but rarely a commenter... praying for your family through this scary time. Just this afternoon I explained to my 5 year old what "You give and take away... blessed be the name of the Lord" means. Your faithfulness to the Lord will not out do the faithfulness of the Lord to us! Praise God for His many blessings - even when they come in forms we don't understand.

  9. Praying for you. Praying God will minister comfort, strength and peace to your hearts as you trust Him.

    The Lord allowed my husband and I to experience our first miscarriage a few weeks ago and this hymn text by William Cowper has been precious to us:

    God Moves in a Mysterious Way

    God moves in a mysterious way
    His wonders to perform;
    He plants His footsteps in the sea
    And rides upon the storm.

    Deep in unfathomable mines
    Of never failing skill
    He treasures up His bright designs
    And works His sov’reign will.

    Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
    The clouds ye so much dread
    Are big with mercy and shall break
    In blessings on your head.

    Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
    But trust Him for His grace;
    Behind a frowning providence
    He hides a smiling face.

    His purposes will ripen fast,
    Unfolding every hour;
    The bud may have a bitter taste,
    But sweet will be the flow’r.

    Blind unbelief is sure to err
    And scan His work in vain;
    God is His own interpreter,
    And He will make it plain.

    Love in Christ,

  14. I have never practiced medicine in Mexico, but there is NO reason that she should not be able to get pain medicine while getting a blood transfusion. You cannot give medication through the same tubing as the blood, but you can certainly pause the transfusion for a few minutes to push the pain meds through the IV---or even give her an injection of pain medication--I'm sure she'd take that right now. I'm a nurse practitioner in pediatrics and I will tell you as a practitioner as well as someone who has had 2 major surgeries in the last 2 years---there is no excuse for not managing pain. And no reason for her to be in a lot of pain, so please talk to the doctors! Sometimes you really have to speak up and advocate for yourself or your loved one. You all will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers.
