Family Fun

Benjamin Randall Lockwood...11 years old!
Quiet, caring, loves to collect things, creative, youngest of the 3 big boys, funny, the best cowlick and dimples, loves to plant things, tender heart.

To celebrate, we took our first trip to the beach  this year.

Little Samuel...chocolate cookie on his face, sand on his hands, showing off his new found treasure.

These two love to snorkel.  We arrive, park, set up, and they're off!  I did manage to see them on land a couple times when they got hungry.  Today they were boiling and eating the crab they caught.

See that large hotel in the background?  We've watched it be constructed from the ground up! :)  We decided we'd hike around the beach to see it up close.

When you get tired, Daddy gives you a ride.

Here's a few pictures of a hike we all took together a few days ago.  We drove out of town to the Ejido north of us and hiked along the dry creek bed.

Samuel was on the look out for a bear. :-)
And Noah and Nehemiah found his secret cave :-)

This picture has nothing to do with hiking or the beach, but I just thought it was cute :)

And this picture is just for my sister, Julee.  I know it's blurry and missing the top of my head, but here's my curly hair you wanted to see :)
Thanking the Lord tonight for such a wonderful week and looking forward to another one starting tomorrow!

  1. Hikes are so much fun! Too bad though that you didn't get a pic of the hotel once you were up close:)
Your hair must be curly from braiding it when wet?
    Have a wonderful week ahead!

  2. Hello Jaynee~ Love the kids on the couch. I agree it is a cute picture :-)

What fun at the beach. Do you kiddos learn to swim early? Ours learn at the lake. Every year we have a new swimmer, a stronger swimmer and a deep end swimmer join the ranks :-)

Thank you for your prayers for John. He feels them! I need them! We appreciate them :-)

I think it's time for another letter for you. Of course by the time it gets to you, you will be leaving on furlough. So maybe a long email instead.

Love your hair. It looks wonderful. Mine is getting sooo long I don't know what to do with it anymore. I told Gracie girl that and she pulled out her Dangerous Girls book and said "Mama it tells you in here how to put your hair up with a pencil." So who knows maybe I'll live dangerously and put my hair up with a pencil tomorrow :-)

    hugs sweet friend~ Cinnamon

  6. Why is your litte son holding a gun? I assume it's not loaded, but still... what's up with that?

  7. Hi, Becca Boo, No, it's not a loaded gun. It's one of his brother's bb guns. Daniel and the older boys carry them when we hike. The little ones were pretending they were on the look out for bears :)

  8. Very sweet family memories. I love the age when little boys are on the lookout for bears. Strong daddies in the making.

We are finally in Mexico. Currently we are in Cozumel so a bit spoiled. So glad to be on this side of the world.
