First Day...

...of December.

First day of school.
After a 3 month "field trip", :)
we are back to opening our text books,
working at our desks,
back to our daily schedule.

We've missed it!!
It's soooo good to be home!

Thanking the Lord tonight for another "school year".
Ten children from 10th grade down to Kindergarten and two pre-schoolers just to keep me from getting bored and keep me laughing and smiling all day.

  3. Beautiful picture! I'm down to my last one and she is a junior this year! Where has the time gone? I remember wondering how the kids could learn anything with all the interruptions of my youngers....but God was faithful and all my kids (6) are smart, hardworking, and fun to be with. They all were home for Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful time sitting around sharing experiences and retelling stories until we were laughing so hard we were crying! God is so good. Continue to cherish these times! God bless you!

  4. Hi! I've been following your blog for a few months now and really enjoy it. You're so inspiring, and it's wonderful to see how, thanks to God, you have such a positive outlook on life, even when you must feel exhausted with 12 children.
After 14 years of marriage, the Lord blessed our marriage with a little boy, who turns 1 already next week. We'd always wanted children, but God knows best! Now I"m 40 and hoping I'm pregnant again!
Meanwhile, what prompted me to write, was that when I was pregnant last year, someone sent me that book "God gave us You", and I see you have it on your bookcase!!
All the best to you all,
    Lisa (from Perth, Western Australia)

  7. What a great picture!!! Welcome Home too!!! There is no place like home. Your attitude has been wonderful. It is a challenge to be away from our nests as we are naturally inclined to be there often. Have a great school year!!!

    Love,

  12. Soooo perfect! :) Well, it was a normal first week of school...ha :), but it just feels so nice to be back home. It's kept us busy and everyone is enjoying studying together/learning. We are slowly implementing our new schedule and obviously I haven't added updating our blog to that yet. :) But I will hopefully soon!
Take care! Love and miss you all!

  13. It was great having you all here with us at Elmwood Baptist Church. Matlin had asked if there was something our Master Club could do for you and you mentioned the Christmas Box Program. We mailed a box of gifts and plastic bins to you today. To save shipping we put all the gifts in separate plastic bags so you can dump them into the plastic bins. Thanks for letting us be a part of God's ministry through you. There are 12 bins in all.

  15. Here is a GREAT Bible Verse to put over your home library!

whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline, think on these things. [Philippians 4:8]
