Welcome! Nuestra Casa Es Su Casa ...Our house is your house

A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. He alone is good and faithful!

We're still here!

Not sure if anyone's missing us :-)  But we're still here!
This is very unlike me to-
1.  Post something less than a "gazillion" words long
2.  Post something without any pictures
3.  And not have the word "sooooo"  mentioned a few times (not counting the fact I just wrote it)

But after weeks of thinking maybe I don't really have time to blog anymore, and weeks of praying about it when I my mind tossed the decision back and forth, and being the very decisive person that I am, I finally mentioned the whole thing to my husband trying my best to articulate each thought, reason, feeling I had as clearly as possible...

In less than 5 seconds, he gave me my answer.   And my headache went away and I had one less thing to think about and really, don't know why I didn't just talk to him in the first place.  I love that man!

And now I have soooo (oops :) ) much to say and with no time to write right now, but thought I'd say "Hi" :) and soon I'll be back to share-

*Our summer schedule
*My last couple years of schooling preschoolers and how much I am loving it
*How our children ALL received  their MEXICAN Citizenship!!!!! PTL!
*Summer plans
*What the Lord is teaching me
*What does a missionary wife of 12 children do to help her husband in his ministry
*More of our family's favorite recipes
*Updates on the children...they keep growing...without permission...I think it's somehow directly related to the amount of food I cook each day

Don't worry...I won't share all that all at once. :) Or anything else you'd  like to ask about...just ask!

But right now I've got another basket of clothes to  put away, a couple more kiddos to bathe, a stack of papers to grade, a bunch of letters to mail, and it's time for supper.

I'm so thankful for so much!  The Lord is so faithful and so good!

  4. Hello Jaynee~
I say "soooo" a zillion times too. Do you know what my funny husband says when I say "soo" to him? He says "sew buttons on your underware" every.single.time! haha!

Can't wait to read all that is bouncing around in your head. Better yet, let's get together and have a good long visit over it! I wish!!

We were praying for you this morning. Are you having any storms now? And all that trouble in Mexico with deaths, hangings and drug problems...ugh! I always think of you guys whenever Mexico comes up.

So how are you? Busy right? haha! I don't suppose you lay around on the couch, watching soap operas, eating bon bons do you? hee hee~ Cause there are days I would love to do just that!

Of course yesterday I stayed in my room most of the day due to my allergies but that really was no fun because I was so tired from my med's and they made me sick :-/

I am glad to see your update. I hope you keep blogging for a long long long long long long time :-)

    miss you all~ Cinnamon

  5. Hello Jaynee,

You do not know me, but I have been following your blog for years. You are always such an encouragement to me and give me ideas as I homeschool my children (I have seven now - my oldest is almost 13, and my youngest is 3 months). I notice you follow the Shulls from Greenland. We are acquainted with them...our church supports the Shulls, and we met and got to know them when they were on furlough. Such a nice family! Thank you for your ministry. We love your family even though we have never met! Looking forward to seeing your summer schedule. I really need one and have been thinking about how to best use this precious little time as the years go by so quickly.

  8. I, for one, have certainly missed you. Not like you're not just an email a way, but for some reason, my days are kind of busy, too. :)
    Looking forward to hearing more.
By the way, I was awake at five this morning and couldn't go back to sleep, so I got up at six. I sure could use a pop tart to go with this cup of tea. ;)

  11. Yes, we missed your posts too! Looking forward to the topics coming up! :)

I had to laugh at the "sooooo" part, especially coupled with Cinnamon's comment too. When I say "sooo" to my husband, he says "Sow spuds in your ears!" ;)

Thanks for the quick update Jaynee...so glad you decided to keep on blogging! :)

  12. Jaynee, I have never commented before - but I just want you to know how much your entries on this blog encourage me!!! I am always lifted up when I read your posts. Thank you for that. Your lifestyle is shining - even to another believer and homeschool Mom! I pray for you, and your family.
    With blessings,

  13. Soooo glad you have decided to keep blogging even when you don't have time (understandably). It's been so much fun watching your family grow and hearing about your wonderful ministry in Baja. And, you are such an inspiration and blessing to those who read your blog. Looking forward to sharing the summer with you! Thanks, Rowena

  16. Absolutely you were missed! :D I keep intending to reply to Timothy, but you know how it goes... :D
It was great to read another post! As to children's growth... it happens whether they are fed or not. Growth does directly impact food consumption, however. :-)
Please say hi to everyone for me!

  20. Still following you! I'm glad you will still be blogging! If you could share anything that helps your day go smoothly- any organizational/homeschool system you use, that would be great!!

  21. I'm glad you will still be blogging, Jaynee! It shouldn't be a burden, though, and if you feel burdened by it, then don't do it! It's not an obligation, but there are so many of us "out here" that really enjoy reading about your life and are encouraged by you. So do it once a month or once every 6 months or whenever you can. You are reaching people and making a difference in their lives.

  23. Dear Jaynee,
Thank you for your updates! I am always thrilled when I see an update! I'm sorry I'm not very good at keeping in touch, but do know that we love you all and are praying for you. We think of you everyday! I will try to email some pics of the growing kiddos. Not only are you serving the Lord in Mexico, but your family is such an encouragement and testimony! Thank you for opening your lives to us! Love, Cheri for the Andersons in Wyo

  24. I'm so glad you're going to keep blogging, too. I do understand the struggle over it, though---it can take quite a bit of time and there's just not always that kind of time! :)

Can you share how you make your schedule? I need a spreadsheet like that, with the color-coded children. If there is a way to email it to me, could you? primrose_sb@yahoo.com

Thanks for reading over at my blog, too. I'm honored. :)
