Summer

 Super happy!
Water does that on a hot, summer day!
And knowing that after almost a week, Daddy will be back home with us soon!!!

"Come on, Mommy!  You can do it!  Just jump into the tub!"
"Hmmm...I think that might be the end of Josiah and of me.  :) "

Early mornings still find us all here...

 But after that... :)

We're still all here!  Hope to do a real update soon.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under  the heaven.

  2. Glad to hear from you again!! A question though, why do your children always play in the water with their clothing on? Do they not own bathing suits, or do you enjoy all that extra laundry:)?

    1. Hi, Lisa :) No, we do not own bathing suits as what is commonly thought of as a bathing suit today. We know the Lord wants us to be modest and we don't see any reason to take take off most of our clothing to enjoy the water.
Our boys do have shorts and our girls do have culottes/long shorts they swim in. But often times here at home, they won't bother to change. As soon as school/chores are completed, they just run outside and get wet. Our boys always swim with a shirt on...the sun here is so strong that the more you are covered, the better.
It's really no extra laundry at all...they normally play outside till supper which I usually serve outdoors on the picnic tables. After that, I bring the little ones in and they get in their pj's and then the older ones change into their pj's a bit later. We have a nice outside bathroom where the older ones can change so I don't even have to deal with dripping clothes in the house. :)

    1. After multiple repairs/attempted repairs, it was just causing more problems than it was helping, so we took it down.

  5. Hello Jaynee~~ Missed you!! Loved your email to me. I've read it 5 times and will write soon...or someday....or well, you know what I mean :-) haha!

I was reading through your comments. The safety netting comment made me smile. Our kids learn how to NOT fall off the "tramp" with no safety netting :-)

Loved your response on bathing suits. Our kids play on the slip n slide all day, every day and bathing suits are getting sooooooo teeny tiny that they end up wearing clothes OVER their bathing suits :-/ Now that makes for some extra laundry. I wish there was a laundry line for children to just pin them up to dry off, clothes and all, and then un pin them and let them play :-) hahahha!!

I think of you ALL the time!! So glad you updated and that the kids are having a blast in the water. It's been soo hot here that popsicles and the slip n slide have been life savers.

    hugs~ Cinnamon

I miss you and will write you too again someday soon...well, soon as in comparison to eternity. :) And I'll write you a gazillion times in my mind first.

      Love and miss yoU!!!

  8. Jaynee, Lovely pictures! I bet jumping on the trampoline with the kids is fun, and I'm quite sure they love it when Momma plays, too! It started to get hot, humid, and yucky outside here in VA so we started back to school on Monday.

Our children love to get wet in their clothes as well. :) They do have modest swim clothing---but sometimes, who wants to take the time to change, right?

Have a wonderful summer. Love your posts, love your blog!
