Welcome! Nuestra Casa Es Su Casa ...Our house is your house

A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Continue to pray for the workers as they are preparing to pour the roof this Thursday. Once the roof if poured, construction will stop for the next 4 weeks as it takes that long for the roof to dry (solid cement roof). This will give us some extra time as we enter into this Christmas Season with the special activities and outreaches that we have planned. Plus, not to mention the fact that Little Lockwood #10 should be making his appearance during that time as well.
We had a busy and blessed weekend. We spent Friday afternoon putting some decorations up at the church building enjoying some popcorn and hot cocoa afterwards. Saturday, we went to visit one of our dear widows, Hna. Carmelita. She has been ill and not able to come to church for many weeks now. Though she is blind and can't get out of her bed, her lips are full of praise and thansgiving to our Lord. Our family went with some of the children from our church to visit her, sing some Christmas Songs with her, and bring her some food. Her daughter (who takes care of her and also attends our church here) tells us that she prays everyday that she will be strong enough to join us for our special Christmas service on the 17th.
Yesterday we had services as usual and the people enjoyed not only the fellowship and time in God's Word, but also had fun planning our church Christmas service. We will be doing it a bit different this year than last year. Last year, we used the time as an outreach...we had special food, gifts, and invited the town. This year, we are keeping it as a special service for just our church family and of course, for their families as well. We are praying that some of the husbands and other family members who normally don't attend will come with their families that day. So far, the response has been favorable. The children's choir is learning 2 new Christmas hymns, some Scripture verses, and the girls are helping me make some scarves to wear when they sing. I counted yesterday that our church family knows 10 Christmas hymns now. I remember last year when we started teaching them their very first Christmas song.
Thank you for your prayers. Continue to pray for the workers safety as they are working up high on the roof now, for the people in our church as they are growing in the Lord, for the many people here who need a Saviour, especially those of our church families' families, and for safety as our new baby is due this month.
