First, we want to thank all of you who have been praying for Nehemiah. We know the Lord hears and answers prayer. Thank you also to the many who have emailed us with words of encouragement and care. The sweet notes brighten our day and are a blessing.
We have some good news!.....Nehemiah's test for cystic fibrosis came back normal. The doctors are still worried about him and are afraid that if we go back to Mexico right now, we will lose him. He is still having respritory problems (wheezing, coughing, retractions) and isn't gaining weight. Tomorrow afternoon we take him back to the hospital for a video swallow test. The pediatrician thinks he may be apsirating fluid into his lungs as he eats, and the test will show if this is the problem.
Please continue to pray that the Lord will heal him. Pray the Lord will give wisdom to the doctors and that if there is a problem, that it can be found and treated quickly. Tomorrow night, we will be going to prayer meeting at our sending church (Millville Community Baptist) where our pastor will be praying over Nehemiah.
We are all packed and ready to head back down, but looks like the Lord wants us to stay a bit longer. Thank you for your prayers! The Lord is good!
Welcome! Nuestra Casa Es Su Casa ...Our house is your house
A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. He alone is good and faithful!

Long overdue update!! Please Pray!!
Wow...it has been a while since we last posted. So much has happened that the days have just flown by so fast. When we last posted, we were all sick with a bad flu....thank you for your prayers...we have all recovered from that!
For those of you who haven't heard, we are in our home town, Redding, CA right now. We have been here for the past two weeks. To make a long story short, we were planning on making a "quick" trip to the US/Mexico border (San Diego, CA area) to pick up some supplies for the house, meet Daniel's brother Joseph (who was bringing down some more supplies and items donated to us by the churches in our hometown area), and do some other errands (renewing visas, getting Nehemiah's citizenship paperwork ect...). Well, just a few days before the trip, some things came up that necessitated us making a trip all the way home.
While here, we have been overwhelmed by the love and generosity of so many who the Lord used to provided above and beyond our every need. The children were given new shoes and clothes, we were given so many nice things for our new home, and many donated clothing to give to the Mexicans as well.
We were planning on only being here a week or so, but we had some medical issues arise. First, last Monday, our 7 year old daughter, Rebekah, cut off the tip of her finger. We praise the Lord she is doing well now and is bouncing around as always happily showing off her bandages. How did this happen, you may ask....well, it got cut off with an ax. It was a VERY good lesson in obedience for the children, though obviously a very hard one too. In the home where we are staying, there is an ax outside used for chopping fire wood. All the children were told *not* to play with the ax or even touch it. Rebekah and Benjamin were playing ouside one day, saw the ax, and decided to see who could sink it further into a stump that was there. Rebekah took her turn first, and then gave the ax to Benjamin (reminds me of Adam and Eve :)). While Benjamin took his turn, Rebekah decided to put her hand on the stump to "feel the groves in the wood". The Lord graciously and mercifully protected her, for it could have been so much worse. She cut off just the tip of her middle finger...you could see the bone, but it did not cut the bone. Her finger is a bit shorter now, but more importantly, it will serve as a good reminder of the importance of obeying mommy, daddy and the Lord.
Our little Nehemiah (3 m. old tomorrow) has had a cough most of his life. He has also had 3 fevers when the cough seems to get worse. We had taken him to a doctor in Mexico who prescribed some antibiotics for him, but he never got completely better. He started to run a fever again last Wednesday, so we took him to the doctor here. They had a couple of big concerns. They did a chest x-ray thinking he had pnuemonia, and found he has bad bronchitis and asthma. They were also concerned as he hasn't grown much at all. He is only a little over a pound over his birth weight. They put him on an antibiotic and a medicine for the asthma and on Monday they want to test him for Cystic Fibrosis. Please pray for little Nehemiah that he will get better, begin to grow, and that the Lord will give the doctor, Daniel and I wisdom as to whether he needs the test.
If all goes well with the doctor's visit Monday, we hope to be on the road Tuesday morning. We thank the Lord for his peace and protection this week. He is so faithful. Thank you for your prayers. We will update again soon!!! And post some pictures too!! :)
