Thank you all so much for praying. The storm has passed over and didn't hit us near as hard as was expected. By the time it hit land it was only a category 1 hurricane and hit us more like a tropical storm.
We've had no running water since last night and our water tank is empty. Daniel suspects that the city well pump went out during the storm. Needless to say, everything around here is a bit of a mess...14 people with lots of mud from the rain, laundry, dishes, unable to bathe or flush the toilet or clean much of anything. We still have over 10 gallons of purified drinking water and so at least our teeth are clean :)
We'll be going over to the church today to see how everything over there looks. We were over there on Monday when the rains had first started, and it was a mess as the roof leaks everywhere...pulpit soaked, piano soaked, pews, floor. Praying for a few good days of hot weather to dry everything out.
We are so thankful the Lord spared our town of a hard hit and are so thankful for those who continue to lift our family and ministry up in prayer.
Welcome! Nuestra Casa Es Su Casa ...Our house is your house
A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. He alone is good and faithful!
Praising God for this blessed outcome! Thankful your family is okay, as well as the people in your area.
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord! I've been praying for you. ♥
ReplyDeleteSo thankful to read that you all are safe, and were spared a hard hit! :) Praying that running water is restored quickly, and that the church dries out with very little damage. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for updating us! Glad it wasn't worse, and praying that all may be well again!

Prayed yesterday, so am praising God along with you. Did you ever think that you would pray for a blazing sun (in order to dry things out)? : )
ReplyDeleteI would just like to tell you I came across your blog from another blog by Connie (smockityfrocks.com). My four daughters and I have been keeping up with y'all for a couple of months and we pray for you and your family in our family worship time every morning. We are so glad God's protection was on you during this storm and are believing for great things in your church and ministry!
ReplyDeleteI prayed in the night for you! Suddenly I just had to
ReplyDeleteWe had been praying from the moment we read it!! So thankful you were able to update us all :). Praying for you all will have water very quickly and as you get things cleaned up!! Praising the Lord that you all are alright!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you all are safe.
ReplyDeleteAny reason that your posts have been so sporadic, to the point of being nonexistent? It is nice to keep up with your family and what is going on in the ministry, but is much more difficult when you hardly post. You may be too busy, so I understand. I've even looked for updates from your missionary blog, but that isn't updated much, either. The last several months that you've posted, you almost always write that you'll write more soon, but, so far, that hasn't happened. I enjoy your posts, and it helps to know how to pray when you keep it updated.
ReplyDeleteJust my thoughts.
