Welcome! Nuestra Casa Es Su Casa ...Our house is your house

A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. Sunday Morning

We had a sweet and blessed Sunday morning service today. We recently changed the time of our service to 7 am. The people here get up early everyday for work, so are use to rising early. Also, with the summer heat right around the corner, the building is stifling by 10 am and almost unbearable by Noon.

It takes a bit more doing for me to get up in time to get ready, feed Nehemiah, prepare breakfast (each family brings food to the service and we enjoy breakfast and fellowship together afterwards), and then get all the children up and ready by 6:30 am, but I have been so blessed and it has been more than worth the effort.

The sun is just rising as we drive around town to pick up those who live too far to walk to the service. (Picture 3- picking up people this morning...we usually can fit about 32 in our van). Then we enjoy singing hymns together, praying and listening to Daniel share from the Word Picture 2- getting ready for the service). Then we enjoy a meal together. It is a wonderful time of fellowship (Picture 1-Daniel visiting with Don Pancho over breakfast this morning/ Picture 4- Hna. Victoria dishing up the food).

Today was extra special, for we had the Lord's Supper as a church for the first time. Daniel shared from the Word the importance and meaning of the Lord's Supper this morning. After breakfast was over, those who were saved and baptized sat around a table together and we had a sweet time of prayer. Then we passed around the bread and then a cup of grapejuice. Afterwards we sang a hymn (At the Cross) and then spent more time in prayer together.

The Bible Studies in the homes have been a tremendous blessing as well. Daniel plans on meeting in 2 more homes this week and also going out to a small village next week to hold a meeting. Please continue to pray for the Lord give the increase here in Baja Sur.

In our spare time, we continue to work on the house...We were able to paint the living room and dining room last week and Daniel is putting in flooring too. The children have been a tremendous help (well, the older ones have...the younger ones love to "help", usually make a big mess, yet the time together is priceless and sooo fun!). (Picture 4- Josiah painting).

Finally, please pray for our neighbors across the street from us...their names are Senor Pedro and Senora Luz. The are an older couple (in their late 70's early 80's). The are not Christians, yet we are able to share the gospel more and more with them each day. Snr. Pedro has a pace maker in his heart...Daniel told him he believes that the Lord has let him live so long so that he will trust Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord. I go over to visit Snra. Luz most every day just to chat, or bring her some food, or see if she needs anything from the market. (Picture 5- Benjamin and Senora Luz). We have grown to love them as we've gotten to know them and our hearts yearn for them to come to Jesus.

Thank you for your prayers. Have a wonderful day in the Lord!
