I know it's been soooooooooo long!
While I love to be planned and organized and know exactly what I'm doing each day/month, my wonderful hubby is...well, he's organized and and full of plans and completely spontaneous.
So with only a couple weeks notice, we ended up heading up north to our home town and spent the past 6 weeks there!
It was a combination of plans that came together in something we never expected.
Daniel needed to take Chuy back to Tijuana for his second year of Bible college, Elijah needed to get to the states to take his Comptia A+ exams (which he took and passed!! Great mentoring from ITonRamp), Daniel had promised to take the children camping this year, and since we love and miss our families so much, we made everything into one big trip!
We left thinking we'd go there and back in about 15 days, but we're on Mexican/Lockwood time..15 days turned into 42 days.
We came back so blessed and encouraged. Our home church as well as a couple other churches had a "stuff the trailer event" giving so many things for our family, our church/ministry here, and the construction. In fact, so much was given, we couldn't possibly take it all home. So our church surprised us with a new, bigger trailer!
We came home with everything from paint, doors, windows, a sink, a piano, tools, Sunday School/Home School supplies to food, dishes, blankets and clothes.
We have so much work to do here and with new supplies, our days will be long and full. But there is no greater joy than living each day working for our Lord!
I said this would only be a minute and I've got a handsome man who will be walking through my front door any minute now, so I'll just leave you with a few pics from our time up north.
And for those of you who are interested in helping with our annual Christmas box project this year, look for the details (including USA shipping!!) here soon!
