Three hundred and eighty-four boxes came from almost 20 states and arrived in our little town the morning of December 13.
Four days later, we made our first delivery.
The grandmother of one of the young ladies in our church has a daughter who attends the special education school here in our town. She asked Daniel if it would be possible to give boxes to the students during their Christmas party. We said we'd be more than glad to!
So Tuesday morning, shortly before 10:00 am, we loaded the van with several Christmas Bags.
So Tuesday morning, shortly before 10:00 am, we loaded the van with several Christmas Bags.
We got to the school with our arms full and left with our hearts even fuller!
We walked in and saw several precious children and young men/ladies with their parents. Daniel told them who we were and that we had some Christmas gifts to give them on behalf of some families who what them to know how much God loves them.
They lined up one by one while I gave each of them their gift.
The pictures say it all.
This young girl and her mother came to church the following Sunday and the girl came to Sunday School yesterday. Her name is Maria and she is so sweet! She clings to me and LOVES the pictures of the Bible stories we tell. Her 12 year old brother, Ramon, has begun coming to church as well.
This young man, Tristen, came to church the past two Sundays.
We were so blessed to be able to give to these children. How precious they are in the sight of the Lord!
Their parents and teachers were so very grateful that we came. Pray that these families may come to know the One who loves them so much!
Thank you so much for giving to them.
Awww... I wish we could have sent some boxes! :D That is great that some of them came to church!
