Christmas Box Update! :)

The day after we got home from the states, the post office worker rode up to our house and said, "You need to come to the post office asap! You have so many boxes that we don't have any more room to put them" :) Yes, the post office building is quite small, but they postal workers did say they really have enjoyed having something to do lately as they usually don't get very much mail in at all.

So Daniel drove down there with the van bringing Timothy along to help load. And we are just soooo excited about how many wonderfully sweet boxes have come in already!! The children here are just going to LOVE them! I can hardly wait to hand them out and see their expressions.

Our church here is going to get involved as well putting together their own boxes for the children of the town and our children are again working away on their free time to earn more pesos to buy things to make some boxes themselves. Everyone is just having so much fun, for it is truly more blessed to give than receive!

In addition to the boxes that have come in (I think we hit around 100 last count), we have received 5 large boxes of Spanish New Testaments which we will give to each family with a gospel tract and invitation to come to our church services. We've received a large box of Christams coloring books to hand out and while we were up north, a dear lady in the church there gave us bags of crayons, colored markers, and colored pencils to hand out as well. Plus we were given some boxes/bags of additional stuffed animals to give.

I only wish you all could be down here with us to hand everything out! Thank you so much for your generous giving. Please pray for each child/family to which we will have the opportunity to give these gifts...pray the the Lord would work in their hearts just as He has so mercifully and wonderfully done in ours and that they would come to the Saviour and receive the greatest gift of all....His salvation!

I'm still working on writing the posts about our trip too! The Lord is just so good!
