As I sat down today to check our email, my heart sank. I don't know much about computers...just enough to send/receive email, download our pictures, do our prayer letters and blog. But somehow some "error" happened and we lost all the emails in our inbox. We had to redownload our email account and everything is blank.
My first thought was, "Oh, all the emails from those who want to pray for our people here!" Daniel was much calmer (of course :) ), and said, "Well, it's not surprising. We know Satan does not want people praying. This area has been his 'turf' for many years and it's never been an easy battle. Don't give up; just write and ask those who wrote before if they'll email again"
So, I have a favor to ask you...Would those of you who emailed us about praying for a brother/sister in Christ here please send us another email? I know how valuable your time is and I'm sure it's difficult for many of you to have much time on the computer. Maybe some of you could find your original message in your "sent message" folder and just resend it.
Those of you who sent me all your information/email address in a comment don't need to do anything as I still have all those :)
I'm so sorry and wish I knew how to get our emails back. I'll be checking into it as I have time, but have hopes about as great as my computer skills...not much :)
But I really want to send you all the names/info of the person for which you will be praying this week. I have most of the sheets prepared to email. I just need your email addresses and preferences (if you wanted a man/woman/boy/girl/family).
Well, looking on the bright side, as I saw my empty inbox today, I guess this is the first time I've been "caught up" on my emails in months :) Which reminds me, if you emailed me recently and haven't heard back, you might want to resend that too.
Thank you for your help!

A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. He alone is good and faithful!
My 2 boys would be happy to pray for 2 little boys in Mexico. We would add them to our prayers. We will also, pray for your family. E- mail- mcurtin1048@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteNow I really know how important this project is!
ReplyDeleteI resent this via email but will send it here too! So make sure to note this is a duplicate to one of the emails!
I would love to pray for a family with perhaps a single mom with several children. For many years I raised my five children as a single mom. I would be happy to pray for anyone you assign- but my heart goes out to single moms raising many children and trying to set a Godly example.
I love your inspired idea!

Jaynee,
ReplyDeleteSent my email, TY.

Hi Jaynee,
ReplyDeleteI have re-emailed you. :)
Have a great week,
Blessings,
Jillian
Hi Jaynee - We are happy to repost! We would love to pray for someone - we are open to anyone. We speak Spanish in our home, so it will be fun for the children to get to use it! It will also help to keep us warm as we pray and think of Mexico since Minnesota has turned once again into the arctic tundra. We so appreciate the ministry of your family and look forward to praying for someone special!

Jaynee,
ReplyDeleteI'll resend my e-mail right now. Thank you for persevering in even through this opposition. What a reminder that we're not struggling against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness. This should motivate us all to be even more committed to praying for these dear brothers and sisters in the Lord!
Kristen
Do you still use Juno for your email? You might consider getting something more up to date such as hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc. They rarely do that. I am sorry that happened. Continuing in prayer for your family.
ReplyDeleteJaynee, I just re-sent my email, but thought it would be good to copy and paste it into here, as well, to be sure you get the info one way or the other, or both! Thank you for being persistent! Praying for all to go smoothly with this from here on out!
ReplyDeleteHere it is:
Hi Jaynee!
I was feeling bad about not being able to participate in the Christmas boxes this year. But now you have presented this wonderful opportunity to pray for a specific person that you are ministering to in your church area. If you still need volunteers, please count me in! Do you happen to have a grandmother who helps care for her grandchildren on a regular basis, perhaps while the parents are out trying to earn a living for the family? I could really relate to her! :) However, you know the needs far better than I do, so I will pray for anyone you might assign to me. With twelve grandchildren (one of whom is still tucked safely inside her Mommy for another three months or so), I have a heart for everyone from Grandpas and Grandmas, down to the tiniest baby! What a great idea God gave you, to do this!
Praying for a wonderful New Year for you!
Marcia
Hi Jaynee~
ReplyDeleteThere must be a computer virus going around, along with the flu cause we seem to catch that computer bug every few months :-( Sorry it has visited you.
I did send you an email but it will be a while before I remember everything I wrote in it :-) Probably wasn't anything too terribly important :-)
Can't wait to get our names~

Hi Jaynee, We are not signing up to pray not because we do not care but because I do not want to commit to something that is more than I can fit on my plate and keep my word. I had an old professor in Bible college who often talked of how easy it is to say, "I'll pray for you" and how easy it is not to live up to that. We do pray for you all and your ministry. Mostly, we pray that God will preserve your family and your family will be a testimony as they grow. When I saw this post though I too had to think about what obvious spiritual warfare there is. How unlikely is it that your entire e-mail would be wiped out just as you are starting this project of prayer. If we could only grasp the spiritual world and the way in which God uses our prayers. May the Lord bless you knowing that He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.

Jaynee, We did not sign up the first time! We were out of town for a week and a half. We are homeschooling this year! I would love to have this become something that my kids will do as a part of our everyday routine. My children are 4, 6, and 9. It would be neat to be able to send letters once a month. Our e-mail address is: thehagers5@comcast.net. Thanks again for all that you do for the cause of Christ!! Remember that His Word will NEVER return void!!! It will be neat to see all of the people in Heaven because of you and your family being willing to serve him. Have a wonderful week.

Hi Jaynee!! I asked to get a mom to pray for. But really, I'll take anyone who needs prayers :) My email address is abrant13@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Amy
Dear Jaynee,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog last night when I could not sleep and was so blessed to read it. There is so much I wish to say. I am the home schooling mother of thirteen children and need the Lord's grace each moment of every day. We are teaching our children to love all Christians everywhere and would like to learn more about how we can help. You are teaching your children very important lessons about how God works in people's lives there in Mexico. Do you need any books or home school materials? Clothes, toys or blankets? We will keep you in our prayers. God bless you,
Susan
I sent another email but will post here as well. My family would love to pray for either an individual or a family. My email is bissette6365@aol.com
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless you and your family!
Angela :)
Jaynee,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know I received your e-mail this morning! I can't wait to go over the details of these women and children with my own children so we can begin including them in our prayers. Thank you so much for sharing your burden for all of these lost and struggling souls on your blog.
Jaynee,
ReplyDeleteAnother update. I was finally able to read through the prayer sheets you sent me. Thank you so much for all the work you put into this project. Thank you also for the pictures and the specific prayer requests. I am so thankful for this opportunity for my family to pray for these dear souls. Once again I just want to thank you for sharing your burden and allowing God to use you (and therefore all of us) in this ministry.
Jaynee,
ReplyDeleteWe'd love to pray for someone there! Our kids are 10 (girl) and 4 1/2 (boy) but we'd love to pray for whomever you feel led to send to us!
God bless,
