It was the most wonderful day! We got home tired yet so very blessed and content.
Are you ready for some pictures?
Here are some children from our own little town; later I'll post some pictures from our trip out to Jesus Maria and the surrounding ranches to give boxes there.
While we were passing out the last of the boxes, I asked for a box count to see how we were doing.
Elijah said that we had 28 girl boxes left and only 6 boy boxes.
So we prayed, "Lord, please send us to some girls."
And He did! The next several houses were ALL girls! We even found a family of 5 sisters! :)
When the last box was handed out, even our young ones understood how it is truly more blessed to give than receive!
I just said good-bye to 3 of my "men" :) Daniel, Timothy and Elijah along with 9 or 10 others from our chruch are going to a youth preaching conference about 5 hours north of here. Daniel and another man will be preaching and there will be much food, fellowship, and games for all. Lord willing, they'll be home Wednesday afternoon. We appreciate prayer for this trip that the Lord will keep everyone safe and that it will be a time of rich spiritual blessing in the life of each young person who goes.
And I'm off to conquer what I can of my Christmas Vacation Project List! :)
I hope you all had a most blessed Christmas.
Thank you...thank you SO much for blessing these children here.

Just one of these smiles makes it more than worth it...and we got to see a couple hundred of them :)
And we now share some of them with you... |
Did anyone really make it to the end? :)
Yes, yes yes!! I made it :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this with us. It's such a highlight to see each year.
I even saw a blond girl and it wasn't one of your kids :-)
I am looking forward to all the other pictures to come.

P.S. praying for Daniel's trip!
Yes, I made it to the end looking at all those precious, beautiful faces! Being reached with the Gospel of Christ because some people named Lockwoods answered God's call. May your new year be blessed beyond measure.
ReplyDeleteYep - we made it to the end...wishing there was more! I was encouraged by those smiles.

ReplyDeleteI made it!! With tears in my eyes as I look at the precious little ones who received the boxes -- what joy!! I saw the boxes we sent and am going to call the kiddos up so they can see who got ours. Thank you so much!! It truly is better to give than to receive!!

Yes, delightfully so. Merry Christmas to you all.
ReplyDeleteI did! Thank you so much for sharing all the pictures. I searched each one carefully, hoping to see a gift we sent (really should have paid for that delivery confirmation, lol!).
ReplyDeleteFinally, I spotted our 1 box for a little girl (the others were for boys). Seeing that little girl holding her box was a blessing directly from God. Our family will be praying for that little girl, along with all the other kids and families you are ministering to. Thanks again for all the wonderful smiles! :)
Made it to the end with tears. What beautiful children. God bless your family.
ReplyDeleteYes ~ fun to see those faces :-) We will plan ahead to join in next year!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing and for these wonderful pictures!! How precious are these children! This makes me want to start getting ready for next year already:) Will you be having other opportunities this year to send donations to the California address? I know the transport to Mexico is not not easy, but after seeing these pictures I am fired up to do more! Thanks again for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYes! I made it to the end. What precious faces with such joy! Thank you for sharing these with us and for the work you do there. God bless you richly in 2011!
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting to see our gifts given to those lovely children. May I have your permission to make a power point to show at church so maybe next time more people will get involved. It was easy to see the little dresses.
ReplyDeleteI will check back here for your answer.

ReplyDeleteThat's fine, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pictures, Jaynee! It was very emotional for me to see a girl holding the gift I sent. Can I use one or two of these pictures for my magazine, Girlz 4 Christ? (Girlz4Christ.com)
ReplyDeleteA Work in Progress, That would be fine :)
ReplyDeleteYes, and I enjoyed every picture!
ReplyDeleteDid anyone really make it to the end?
