We turned into the first gas station and right behind it was a auto-repair shop.
Praying they will be able to fix it quickly so we can be on our way. Right now, we are at Carl's Jr. Daddy got us all hamburgers and fresh, cold water! Mmmmm! It's so nice and cool in here with the a/c and I passed out paper/colored pencils to the children and I think we'll just sit here for a while. The mechanic said it would be a couple of hours once they were able to get the van it. It has to cool down first. There is a park around the block, so we may go there in a bit. We've got a couple little guys with fevers today, but I've got the Tylenol on me and a blanket so maybe they can rest under the shade of a tree.
Sometimes, you just feel like doing this! :-) |
I told the children that the Lord could have kept our van running well the entire trip. That nothing can happen to us without the Lord allowing it. We are completely in His hands, always under His every loving care and watchful eye. He allowed this for a reason. Because He loves us and is so good! Yes, it is hard not to get discouraged or worry, so we continue to talk about all the blessings and wonderful things He has done today! We got to see Hoover Dam. What an amazing sight! He is so faithful and so good!
I love how you keep everything in perspective. What most people would consider and inconvenience was really one of God's little detours. You were able to get to a repair shop, got to see Hoover Dam and not to mention eat those delicious looking burgers!! As always we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers until we see you in October.
ReplyDeleteMuch Love,

Praying for you all!

You are so smart to have the family drink water with the burgers. I calculated the cost of drinks for everyone! Wow!
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful family! God has blessed you tremendously. His hand of protection is so evident as you journey across the country.
We have been praying for ya'll nightly. We are so excited and looking forward to having ya'll. We also enjoy hearing how things are going along the way. We will testify with you that God is good!
ReplyDeletePraying for your family as you travel many miles. I so appreciate reading your updates and your outlook on the 'inconveniences' is so encouraging to me!
ReplyDeleteGod bless,
Jill
Somehow I fell off the email list a while back and just got back on :-) We think of you often and pray for your family. Please let us know if you end up in the eastern US anytime---we would really love to get together. Seeing an email from you in my inbox is a highlight of my day--your sweet testimony in every area is a precious blessing to so many people.
ReplyDeleteWe just moved to MN from Bullhead City, AZ. If we'd still been there when you broke down, I'd have driven to Kingman to meet you with popsicles. :) I had to laugh at you thinking you could rest in the shade of a tree somewhere. What tree?? God was nice to let you break down in town. :)
