...the girls will work!! Of course, we have some special fun things planned too (a tea party, getting an icecream, eating corn flakes for supper :) , doing mommy's hair "all pretty") But sometimes you can get a lot extra things done without the men folk underfoot :) Besides, if we keep busy, we won't miss them as much!
Brother Juan, a Spanish pastor in La Paz (about 3 hours south), asked Daniel if he would come and preach for the family camp his church was having. So this morning, we girls (and babies...Nehemiah and Eliseo are here too) said good bye to the boys as they all loaded up the van and pulled out. Daniel thought it would be a good opportunity to open up to the people of our church as well. Since the van is the only vehicle we have to transport people, we are limited as to how many can go based on how many fit in the van. So the girls and I will stay here so more from the church can go. Besides Daniel and the boys, 10 others will be going. Hna. Tola, one of the first ladies we saw saved and baptized here, is bringing her sister who, as Tol says, "Is so close to coming to the Lord". Daniel will be preaching the gospel in every message he brings and we are praying that she and any others who have yet to come the Savior, will come to know Him this week. They all left around 8 am this morning and should be home Saturday afternoon. Please pray for their safety as they travel and mostly that the Lord will draw more to Him!
oh yes!!! A lot gets done with no men folk around:)!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome opportunity!
ReplyDeletePraying Daniel is able to lead many to Christ this week.
Awesome! We'll be praying! Have fun in your 'girl times'! I love those!! :)
ReplyDeletePraying Daniel can reach the people. Please take some pics of your fun!
ReplyDeleteHey Sis.Lockwood, I noticed on yourmain page that it showed a baby ticker due. Is this accurate? I am not being rude just was wondering if this is still the ticker from last baby or is this true that you are expecting again? You do not have to post this if you do not want to.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Ha! I didn't realize that it reset itself! No, that's the baby ticker from Eliseo...unless it knows something that I don't know :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know.
love,
Jaynee
I'll be praying for the safe return of your family and for those who are hearing your husband preach. Summer

no car seats or seatbelts used for your kids?
ReplyDeleteTriplet Mama~ There is no carseat law here in Mexico and nobody here wears a seat belt...the rule is pack and stack as many as you can.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, we normally just travel around our little town (dirt roads) at about 20 mph. When we do travel in Mexico any distance, we have the younger two in a carseat and the older ones buckle up.
When we travel from here to USA, we follow the CA laws...everyone buckled up and those under age 6 in a car seat.
How much fun , remember the days of dirt roads and all pile up in the car. I remember when our school bus would break down (often) the wife would come in a station wagon and pile and pile us all in! That was so much fun. little kids had to sit on big kids lap. Like you said the speeds we did where a lot lot slower then now and we where lucky to see another car on the road.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I dont think they would do it now days if the bus broke down! At least here in Australia they wouldn't.
