Daniel will tell you, I am definitely a follower! And while I'm not very creative, I am always inspired by others who are and love to copy a good idea when I see it.
My sweet, young, friend, Amy (mommy of 11), recently put up a page on her blog where you could read a little about each member of her family. I thought that was a great idea! So, with her permission, I copied her...only I used my own children's names and pictures, not her's. :)
So if you look at the top of our blog, right under our header, you will see 2 new links. One says "Home" and the other "Meet Our Family." I've got a couple more ideas to add to that area too, but for now...click on the "Meet Our Family" link and let us know what you think.
May the Lord bless this new week He's given!

I love the happy family photo on your new page. It is a great challenge just to get everybody to look but they are ALL smiling. The sunshine makes the photo so bright. This page was a great idea!

Well, I guess you ARE a copy cat, but I'm glad. :) I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of that and I thank you for the reference to my age. You're getting good at that. ;)
ReplyDeleteI was so amazed to once again see the similarities between our families and children - and then the obvious differences, too. Aren't children so fun? And wouldn't my Christopher and your Benjamin hit it off? And wouldn't Nina be so completely understanding with your Abi?
I laughed at the thought of you and Daniel growing up together with no glance in your direction because you were a head taller. Cute. But think of how things might have been different if he had. God had it all under control.
I also loved your comment to Timothy about babies getting sweeter (love multiplies, you know - the more "fans" a baby has, the better he responds, I think, and so the more loved he is). It's funny for me to refer to baby as "he," since in our household, there were a lot more "shes." It doesn't come natural to me to say he, but I did it for you.
I also loved Timothy's response because that is what I hear on a very regular basis. My children are all so very eager for another baby here, too.
Have a lovely day, my friend! ♥
LOVED reading your 'Meet our Family' page. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHow fun. Thanks for sharing. I just noticed for the first time you are the exact opposite of us. We have 9 girls and 3 boys. I am also the exact opposite of my mother in law who had 9 boys and 3 girls.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the family page! I have been a follower or your mission for years, and it's such a pleasure to get to know everyone along the way.
ReplyDeleteOh Jaynee, what a great page to add!
ReplyDeleteWe have a "trailer" baby too and she also loves STILL to be squished up with us and snuggle all the time.
What a beautiful family you have~

Oh, Jaynee, thank you so much for the Meet our Family page. I also thought about Amy's family, and about what child of yours would fit with hers :). Such fun. I have done an exercise like this in my journal, and it is a good thing to write about my kids using adjectives. I am sure we will be by to "visit" often. My kids will all enjoy it too.

I love this idea! I've loved reading your blog and have been for several months now. We're missionaries in Language School and can't wait to get to the field. Your family has been very inspiring to us. And, we love all of the smiles! Isn't serving the Lord great!
ReplyDeleteIf it's alright with you, I will be a copycat, too and try this on my blog!

ReplyDeleteHello. And Bye.
ReplyDeleteLove your meet the family page! Such a neat idea!
ReplyDeleteI've never commented before, but I've been following your blog for the past year or so. It has been such a joy to "get to know" you and your wonderful family through your writing. And all that you are doing to serve the Lord.
What a blessing and testimony you are to many! Continuing to pray for you all!
Jaynee~ I loved this. Great job. It was so fun to read and get to know you and your sweet children. It amazes me how all 12 are so different and unique thanks to the Lord. You are blessed.

I LOVE it! Thanks for sharing your family with us! I recognized my Dale and Alan among your kiddos, and would love to see them playing with the whole bunch! Makes me wonder all over again what kind of personality our newest little one will have as he grows. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful, Jaynee! Now I feel like I know your family so much better.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how God makes each child with the same genetics so unique? Our ten are completely different from each other. Life is much more interesting that way!
God bless you!
