Reaction to Antibiotics
Jaynee just had a brief reaction to the medicine, which actually caused a red line to run up her skin along her vein. But they stopped it right away, and right now they are trying to figure out the cause of it. Jaynee is allergic to penicillin, but it is not penicillin based, so everybody was kind-of scratching their heads. However, she has been feeling great. The doctors say if she continues to do well she might be able to go home tomorrow. PTL! Keep her in your prayers. We have appreciated all your very kind and encouraging comments.

Continuing to pray... So thankful to see Jaynee with her beautiful smile! =)
ReplyDeleteSince the doctors are saying she may be able to go home soon, does that mean you were able to get the blood that was needed?
Much love in Christ,
Steph

Her fragile veins have been stressed to the max in the last couple of days! Certain medications are very irritating to the walls of the veins, and need to either be given very slowly or in a large volume of fluid....or both. Could have been something as "simple" as that vein having been irritated to the point that this particular medication was "the last straw" so to speak, and it flared with the inflammation. Did that mean yet another poke to get a new IV site established? Hopefully now, with a more normal blood pressure and circulating blood volume, it would not be as difficult starting a new line. Sorry! I "retired" from nursing about five years ago, after 35 years...but it is so easy to slip back into "nurse mode"!! :) Praying that things are now stable enough that they can actually allow you to have some solid blocks of sleep tonight!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know we're still praying!! :-)
ReplyDeleteMany blessings,

I received your blog address as a prayer request, sadly our internet was down and I am just now going through emails. I am so thrilled to read who God has carried you through such a trial. I am praying you will be home with your beautiful family soon.

Still praying in Sulphur La.!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Daniel and Jaynee,
ReplyDeleteMy husband David and I are missionaries here in La Paz. We work with the Baptist Churches and heard about Jaynee through the pastor of First Baptist. We have put the word out about Negative A blood donations. One of the members of our English Speaking Ministry, Eileen Herrera, just visited you and told us of Jaynee's progress. We are so thankful that she is out of danger! I am going to try and stop by the hospital in the morning and meet you. We will continue to pray for a quick recovery and total healing for Jaynee.
In Christ's Love

ReplyDeleteOur women's bible study group is praying for Mrs. Jaynee, Pastor Daniel, Hna. Tola and the children. Lifting you all up and praying for a rapid recovery so you can all get back to the people you love. Thanking and praising Him each day for His love and mercy. Thank you for the updates.
ReplyDeleteI read this verse this morning and I think speaking for both of us we have certainly been on some "paths." I think you all have been on more than I but this verse is of great comfort. "All the "paths" of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant."
ReplyDeleteThe "paths" he puts us on are often met with great trials, perils, dangers, but its all for our good, our faith, for others to see Jesus in us and ultimately for His glory! You are so faithful with each "path" that he puts you on! Thank you for building our faith!
we love you Jaynee and are praying here on the farm!!!! :)
