Welcome! Nuestra Casa Es Su Casa ...Our house is your house

A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. We're Home

I thought I would write a quick post to say that we are home and Jaynee is resting in her own bed. She still has a lot of abdominal pain... she is very swollen, but we are hoping that that will go down after the next few days. Please keep praying for her as she regains her strength.
I want to thank Rick from La Paz for his kindness in loaning us his Yukon so that Jaynee could go home comfortably and with A/C. Jaynee gets car sick and even more when it is hot. When we left the car thermometer said 100 degrees. It has been such a blessing to meet other missionaries there in La Paz and to have that kind of trust. The first time I ever met Rick, he was loaning me his car... that is Christian community, the bond and sweet spirit that Christians have in Christ. That was so generous, and Jaynee was so thankful. We were praising the Lord on the way home.
We met 6 new American missionaries while we were down there, and we talked about having a future activities together. Funny how God works. :-)
Well, again we thank you for your prayers and care for Jaynee. Everybody was so good to get the word out and let others know. And thank you Rick for letting us use your car.

  1. I can hardly believe that Jaynee was on her death bed Wednesday and home today! God is so good and we praise Him with you. What a blessing to meet other missionaries with your heart and mind, plus the loan of the car! God is so very good to us and we are thankful.

Romans 8:28 is no cliche ~ it's true!

  23. Jaynee, I haven't commented before but I just want you to know I prayed for you. This exact same thing happened when I haemorraged after giving birth in December. It was a life and death situation and my blood pressure dropped to something like 40/30? Can't remember, but I also lost 3 litres of blood and got about 30 needle pricks as they tried to get a vein to give me blood. Nightmare. Praise God for the doctors who saved my life, and I'm so thankful you were spared too. God is good. I just wanted to tell you to take it easy for a while. It took a good twelve weeks for me to recover and probably months for complete recovery. I managed to get my haemoglobin up to normal fairly quickly, with daily liver! Gross, but very effective.

The swelling goes down after five days or so.

  24. Yay! I, TOTALLY, was praying that you'd get to have a vehicle that was Jaynee-friendly!
I pray that Jaynee gets to rest well and that she lets herself rest.
Thank you for all of the updates.
    Mary Beth

  25. So glad to hear that you are home and doing better! Make sure you take it easy and let your family spoil you for awhile. You need rest after how depleted your body is. I'm thankful you had a comfortable ride home. :)

    Rest, rest, rest!! :)

    Love, Shelly T.
