This morning, while we were eating breakfast, Daniel got out a sheet of paper so we could write down the things we needed to do this week. Daniel loves to make lists, so I know he is feeling better and wanting to "get back into the saddle". :) I'm still encouraging him to take it easy and rest as much as he can; he promised me he won't dig any ditches or pour any cement....yet :)
The children have finished their school lessons for the year. I have them continue to work on things during the summer~ writing letters, math pages, reading books, practicing their instruments, ect... but the rest of the time, they are free to work with mommy or daddy. We enjoy helping Daddy out more in the ministry, the girls enjoy learning to cook new meals or to sew, and we always try to get extra cleaning and organizing projects done.
This week, besides the normal household chores and ministry responsibilities, our "to do" list includes:
*Getting the wiring done at the church building~ We were able to get power to the post last week and now just need to re-wire everything inside and hook it up.
*Fix plumbing at the church building
*Pick up supplies needed for the group from Idaho that is coming next week
*Organize the outdoor storage room (work project for Daddy and the boys :) ).
Thank you Lord for the joy of working together as a family!

Daniel was able to play his guitar, lead singing, and preach yesterday without needing to sit down! :)
It's great to hear you are getting back to "normal"! My dh is a big list maker too! I need to be better at that. . . .I'm like one of those Roomba's. . .I just bounce from one thing to the next and at the end of the day I wonder "what DID I get done today". :^)
ReplyDeleteSo glad that everything is returning to normal! What an answer to prayer!!
ReplyDeleteI have only met your family a few times, and have been reading your blogs and getting updates from family since Daniel has been sick. We have been praying for you and I just wanted to thank you for being such an inspirational family. Your love for God and each other is awesome! Thank you for inspiring others to be better people and serve God!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture of your boys! Our family is praying for Daniel (and all of you) as he recuperates.
