I just got back from the doctor and was given a very good report. I have been feeling fine the last few days, have had no more signs of any problems, and when the doctor did the ultrasound, the area of the placenta that was detatched last week appears to have mended! And our little baby was active and growing well measuring right at 12 weeks. Praise the Lord!
So I got released from my bed!!! I am still on limited activity (no lifting, rest periods required throughout the day, no hard work yet), but everyone is so glad Mommy can be up and about, do the cooking and as long as there are no other signs of problems, eventually resume a regular routine in time.
Thank you so much for your prayers. We are so thankful the Lord has chosen to bless us with such a wonderful report this morning! Well, the computer is in our bedroom and that is the LAST place I want to be right now :), so I'm off to help fix lunch.
Pray for Daniel again today as he goes back into the village this afternoon. The same men are faithfully coming and listening, though have not yet come to Christ. Some of the other people in the village have begun to show a bit of opposition to Daniel's visits, so pray the Lord will work in the hearts of those there and that somebody will soon come to Him.
Welcome! Nuestra Casa Es Su Casa ...Our house is your house
A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. He alone is good and faithful!

ReplyDeleteSo glad you are doing well and the little one is thriving. What an answer to prayer. Our family was praying for you. I just found out that I think I am just a few weeks along(still need to confirm with Dr.) Our youngest is only 5 months Thursday. So I will have another one right after your new baby joins the family. This will make a 1/2 dozen for us unlike your dozen. I realy admire you for your great job. And what wonderful workers you have to help out. I hope your family is feeling well. My girls, Morgan and Katie have a question. Would your family be the Lockwood family that is mentioned in the Moody books, by Sarah Maxwell? They showed me this last night and we thought how neat. Also my daughter is the one who wants to send you the book about Mary Bunyan for you and your girls to read but I can't find it so I am ordering it. Hopefully we can get it to you soon. I am thinking probably by the time we send out a shoebox. But my boys are wanting to send your boys some kind of game. Are there any you don't have that you think they would like? Thanks, Missy in TN
ReplyDeleteDear Missy~
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and praise the Lord for blessing you all with another little one!
Sarah Maxwell surprised us all by using our name as the missionaries to Mexico in her Winter with the Moodys. I still remember when we first got the book and I was reading it out loud to the family and I read our name. We were so surprised :)
She also included my first name "Jaynee" in Spring with the Moodys (page 74). She surprised me with that one too and when I read it I thought it couldn't possibly be after me...but she emailed me later and said it was.
The Lord has used the Maxwell family in our lives to bless, encourage, convict and teach us so much. We met them once in our travels on furlough and just love them so much.
Our boys would love any game I'm sure. I don't even know what games there are out there anymore. I can tell you what they have... they have chess, checkers, connect 4, boggle, go fish, barrel of monkeys, matching, battleship, and some Thomas the train game they just got from my mom.
We do not watch tv, so we all love to play games, read, sing/play music together, play outdoors, and work/serve together.
Have a wonderful week in the Lord!
love,
Jaynee
Hi,My name is Muffy Stephenson.I am new to reading your blog and I really enjoy it.I enjoy seeing your children and the joy in your home.I just read your entry about not using birth control and just want to say keep on keepin on.God is so good to us in so many ways but many of us refuse to take His blessings. This is one area that my husband and I gave to the Lord after our third child was born and he has blessed us with five more since then. The comment you made about having full arms and being tired really pulled my heartstrings and I can totally agree because our eighth child-a son-was only given to us for the nine months he lived in my womb.He stayed in the Hands that formed him and was carried to Heaven an hour and a half before they extracted him from my womb-my first c-sec.Now I have lots of energy but empty arms and am learning to find my fulfillment in Jesus even more than I did before.By the way we hope that God will bless my womb again with another precious blessing and that I can be tired with full arms again for that is such an awesome place to be.I am praying for you and praising God with you over you placenta reattachment-I had the same experience with our seventh.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you are doing better! Please take it easy!
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!! He is good!! So glad baby is doing well!!
ReplyDeleteoh Jaynee! that's wonderful news!!! I'm so happy for you! (and I bet your family is too! :)

That is wonderful. I'm so glad I came to visit this blog today. I've never been before and it's wonderful to see such a big family so happy with all of the kids together. How wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHow amazing! I just found your blog and have been so delighted with your family. The Lord healed during my last pregnancy as well. I was pregnant with twins, a very risky type of twins. There was a risk of twin-to-twin transfusion, and if this happens it doesn't stop. There is a 50% mortality rate in at least one of the twins. Well, at about 6 mos, an ultrasound confirmed my twins had it. The doctors were very worried and I had two more ultrasounds within the week, the situation was bad. I went in for one more ultrasound, they were planning on doing a procedure that day which would alleviate some of the problem, but not fix it, as fixing it was not possible. Of course during this time everyone was praying, and I believed the Lord would heal my babies. During that ultrasound the dr. said, "I don't know what to say." He couldn't believe it. There was nothing wrong, no sign of twin to twin transfusion. Our God is so faithful, isn't he? Praise the Lord for your healing. Thank you for your wonderful blog.

So glad to hear all is well!!!! We have been praying for you. I can't imagine doing bedrest!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved your previous post about Ben. Children are such a blessing in every way...especially when you can see the efforts of your years of hard labor in training them and raising them up to be men and women of character and their serving hearts become evident.
Still praying that all continues to stay well and that baby is strong, healthy and growing!
