Welcome! Nuestra Casa Es Su Casa ...Our house is your house

A glimpse into the life of Daniel and Jaynee Lockwood and their 12 precious blessings. Thank you for visiting; we pray that what we share here may always bring glory to our wonderful God and Saviour. May you praise the Lord with us for the great things He has done and continues to do as we serve Him sharing the gospel here in the little town of Cuidad Insurgentes, BCS Mexico. He alone is good and faithful!

Early Afternoon

Boys walking home from the store with bread and banannas for lunch. The store is that building in the background (left side) with the cars parked in front of it.
Chefs at work! :)

Rebekah keeping the younger ones busy in her room. She was singing with them and teaching them memory verses.
Daniel found this little yellow bird in the backyard this morning. He could not fly and appeared to have his wings and tail clipped. We think he may be someones pet that escaped. For now, he is boarding with Rebekah's parakeets :)

  1. Jaynee,
What are some of the foods that you miss from the States? It seems that you live in a remote area of Mexico. Just curious with what they have and don't have.

  2. I stopped by quick to catch up and I have to come back to look at everything. The pictures are wonderful... and I love the one of the 11 missionaries!!!! I'm still working on the announcement for Ezra, but we used the same verse!

    Love ya,
    Amy

  3. Hi Jaynee,
Your home looks so nice and orderly and all seems to run smoothly with that many I know! That is interesting about the beef, that they do not cure it like we had to wait a few weeks when we butchered ours. Thats exciting though as you do probably miss beef. Looks like the children work so well around the home. Tell them they are a testimony even in pictures!!! May the Lord continue to bless you family!

  5. Mama~ I really do love being here more and more all the time. At first, it was so very different but I knew this was where the Lord had called us and so I chose to be thankful. But the longer we've been here, the more like home it has become and I'm truly happy to stay here as long as the Lord has us here. :)

  6. Katheryn~ Foods we miss...when we first moved down here, I remember "missing" a lot of food we use to eat in the states. But now, we don't think of it.
There really isn't anything in the way of conveience foods...there are no "freezer sections" in the stores, no canned biscuits, no Bisquick, ect... :)Everything is made from scratch. Sandwiches is our easy meal :)
But with our family the size that it is, I really wouldn't choose to cook any different. When we went home this past year to visit for Christmas, my brother in law let us stay in their guest house. I went to the store to buy our groceries, and I bought basically the same things I buy here in Mexico and cooked the same meals.
Most of the things that I miss are "treats" :)...Good and Plenty, chocolate chips for baking cookies, Dr. Pepper, black licorice, and brownie mixes :) When we were up in the states, I bought a couple of cans of pumpkin pie mix and some cranberry sauce to store away for Thanksgiving :)

  7. I really find the Lord amazing when we choose to follow His will how He supplies us with the necessary heart changes to accept His will. I truly admire your family and what you are doing for the Lord. I pray that God will continue to bless you and use you to win souls for His mighty Kingdom.
