Still Recovering and waiting

This afternoon, we were suppose to find out the results of the biopsy, but when Daniel called, the doctor's secretary said that they had not received them yet and to call back tomorrow. Friday, Daniel goes back down to La Paz to see the doctor, and I'm sure we will find out by then.
Daniel continues to recover here at home. His nausea is getting better...he mainly battles with it in the evenings; he is trying to eat little amounts throughout the day and has been able to hold everything down. During the day, he rests sitting on the couch or sleeps in our room. I have continued to take the children with me each morning as we run the errands that need to be done. Tonight, we went to church and Brother Macario led some songs, had a testimony time, shared a devotional and we had a time of prayer. We just got home and Daniel was asleep, so since it is still a bit early for bed, the children are playing outside and I thought I'd take the time to update here :)
Thank you for continuing to pray for Daniel. I would also like to ask you to pray for a lady in our church, Maria. I posted about a month or so ago that she was pregnant and was having problems. Today, I went with the children to visit some of the church members. I went to her house and asked her how she was doing~ She told me that the baby had passed away inside and they gave her some pills to take and she delivered at the hospital on Friday. She was about 4 1/2 months along I think. I told her how very sorry I was, we prayed together, and I told her I'd be back soon to see her. I encouraged the ladies at church tonight to go over to visit her if they could and encourage and pray with her. I know she would appreciate your prayers as well.
Well, the boys just came home from the route. Oh, the Lord is so faithful each day.

I snapped a picture of Daniel yesterday when he came out to the dining room. He wasn't feeling very good, but wanted to see if the camera would pick up his yellow eyes. :)

  1. Still praying for y'all in TN.

    God bless,

  2. Yes, you can definitely see the yellow in his eyes and skin color.

    Still praying here in MO!

    God Bless!

  3. We are still praying and checking in frequently, Jaynee. My husband and children ask several times a day, "How are the Lockwoods?"

"He hears the prayer of the righteous." Proverbs 15:29

  4. Jaynee, I found your blog after reading and appreciating many of your comments on cfhusband, and have only been lurking here for a few days. Your current situation with Daniel reminds me so much of the story of our former pastor. He and his wife (and ONLY four children! :)) were missionaries in Chiapas, Mexico for twenty years when he came down with a liver ailment. That was almost thirty years ago, and, at that time, they finally had to make the decision to return to the states. He became our pastor, here, about six years after that....and has just celebrated his 76th birthday, in very good health, and has just tried to retire for the third time! My prayer for your family is that Daniel will also regain his health and you will be able to continue to serve God and people for many more years together...and that modern medicine and God's Hand will allow you to continue to do that work exactly where you are right now, with the people you have come to love! Praying for you all from far away Michigan..

  5. Still holding Daniel up in prayer, and God's will be done. Peace and comfort for the whole family as they go thru this with dad.

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you…

    ~ Isaiah 43:2, NLT

  6. As I read your comments today, I couldn't help but giggle at the part where your poor husband is sick at night. I know that sounds horrible, but all I could think was after 11 children, now HE knows what "morning sickness" is like!! :o)
Thanks for updating us! We have been praying about that biopsy!
Your prayer warriors in WA! :o)

  7. Dear Jaynee,

Thanks so much for keeping everybody updated, in spite of the fact that it must be a real difficulty at times, with all the obligations you have to fulfill all day long, every day. Honestly, I don't know how you do it sometimes! It has to be the Lord. I know without a doubt you would give the credit to Him. I know you would also attest to the fact that the Lord always grants us the grace necessary for the hardships found in each and every day. He is truly FAITHFUL!

From the photo you posted, it definitely looks like Daniel is still jaundiced. . . . I feel so badly for him. He must feel terrible after so many days of this. I’m sure you are exhausted (beyond words) too. Truly, I feel for you every day. My heart goes out to you and Daniel, as well as to the kids.

I am so sorry you weren't able to get the biopsy results today! : ( That must have been very discouraging for you and Daniel. I will be praying you can hear by tomorrow morning (at least). . . . So glad Daniel is keeping some of his food down now.... You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. My heart is with you daily. : )

    Love in Christ,

P.S. Could you use anything in particular right now? I would be glad to help you out in whatever way I can. Please let me know if you could use something (anything) for your family. . . . and I mean, anything. ; ) If you’d like to email me about it, my email address is chum1982@gmail.com Thanks. : )

  8. Daniel and Jaynee we continue to pray for you each day. So glad to hear that Daniel is able to eat something and keep it down. We will pray that you will be bale to get the results soon from the biopsy and know how to further treat his illness! May God continue to bless your ministry there!

  9. I am praying...
Heavenly Father would you please cover this beautiful, faithful family with your blood...Guide them Lord in these times...let them feel a peace that passes all understanding...
We asks this in Jesus Name.

    Keeping you in our prayers...

  10. I am so glad your husband is doing better! My name is Connie and I am a blogger who somehow found your blog...but so blessed to have done so because I can see the Lord shining through your life! God bless!

  11. Wow, Daniel, you're so skinny! =0) If Jaynee were pregnant, I bet you'd weigh less. =0) Anyway, I love you guys. We're still praying for you. Jaynee, you still owe me a call, and I leave tomorrow, so that means today! I forgot to bug you yesterday. Kiss my babies for me.

  12. Still holding Bro. Daniel up in prayer! So glad he was able to eat and keep it down. Blessings to you all!
