A flu bug has arrived here at our home. So far, it has hit just the older children...it isn't anything too horrible...just high fevers and body aches and it seems to last a couple of days. Saturday mornings, the girls and I tackle the housework while the boys always work with Daddy. Yesterday, our older ones, who are our greatest helpers, were under the weather. Daniel was thinking about what the younger ones could help him do. Our property is very low and floods every time the rains come. We've been bringing in dump truck loads of dirt as we can to raise the ground level. We had a big pile dumped last week, and with lots of ambition, determination, and smiles, the little guys set out to get that pile moved just where Daddy wanted it.
I thought it was cute as they all began scooping dirt into their dump trucks, wagon, and little wheel barrow. An hour or so later, I looked outside and was amazed~ the entire pile was about level! Daniel just told them where to dump it and he stood out there raking their piles into place! Good work guys!! Oh...and girl (Susannah :)...Beka and Abi were sick, so little sister helped her brothers).

ReplyDeleteI meant they're not their. =0) Bad English teacher!
ReplyDeletePrecious photos... What a blessing to see children being raised to enjoy work and have a good time doing it!
ReplyDeleteProverbs 20:11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
Proverbs 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
(the word "business" refers to work and occupation, and as such can apply to secular vocation as well tasks undertaken for the Lord Jesus)
I've been enjoying the recent blog posts and am praying for your family...
God Bless You,
Christopher
